We had a bittersweet weekend welcoming new friends into the world and wishing old ones a bon voyage on their journey from Albany, California to Albany, New York. My dear friend Jenny Regan packed up her house and sweet kids Jackson (age 5) and Katelyn (age 1.5) to move back east. I never realized how much of a handful and obstanant 18-month old can be, so didn't really realize what I was gettig myself into when I offered to help watch the kids as Jenny and her mom packed up the house. Despite a few small catastrophies, it was quite fun and they will be missed. We look forward to checking out up-state New York in the near future.
On a happier note, we were able to visit the newest member of our group of friends, Ms. Madeline Kathleen Glunt, who was born at 12:59am on 7/27/07. After a grueling 36 hours of labor mother and 9 lb 1 oz baby girl are both healthy and happy (but a bit tired - so no pics of Kristin). Fortunately Dan's a pretty good pappa, and is taking charge of diaper changes and swaddling.
